Sam Awolesi
BSc MSc M.I.MechE
(Managing Director)
Sam Awolesi is a senior consultant with Environmental
Science Limited. His early career was mainly in the field of air flow
and pollution abatement research where he carried out computer modeling
of airborne contaminants and indoor air quality within buildings.
More recently he has used some of this experience in the design and
development of ChemHELP to assist firms comply with the COSHH and CHIP
(European) legislation. Previous consultancies have included
Rolls Royce, BNFL, NEC and Motorola, where projects on the
monitoring and computer applications related to COSHH and EPA have been
undertaken.

Michael
Jurascheck Dipl.
Eng, (C. Eng) (Sales
Director)
Michael’s earlier career was in
providing training on chemical pumps in preparation for
Sales Engineers in Germany and London. The main part of his
career has been in the field of chemical centrifugal pumps,
control valves, CPVC plastic material for pipework and
solvent cement for piping. As a Chartered Engineer, Michael
has had a long career in high technology capital equipment
and with a strong emphasis on senior management. He brings
with him to Environmental Science Limited 30 years of
management skills, strong commercial and sales sense which
will benefit the company. Michael currently works as a Sales
Director for Environmental Science Limited and his ambition
is to widen the market for the products and services of the
firm. |

Tom
Passmore
BSc,
PhD, MInstP, MIEE, MIOSH, C.Eng, C.Phys
Originally qualified as a physicist
undertaking research in ultra violet and photoelectron
spectroscopy. Subsequently became director of
engineering for a major international distribution company
with responsibilities including quality systems and ISO 9000
and NAMAS certification, as well as overall responsibility
internationally for health & safety standards within the
company. Tom was responsible for the production of a number
of training videos one of which received a RoSPA award. Tom
also had responsibility for waste management and recycling projects.
Tom’s experience has led to the development of ChemWRITE
software which Environmental Science uses to produce
Safety Data Sheets for its customers |

Janice
Henderson
BSc,
PhD
Janice graduated with a first class honours degree in Biochemistry from the University of Western Australia and has since gained over 20 years of research experience. Working as a Research fellow at Oxford, Janice completed a Doctorate in Plant Science. During her commercial experience she received training in Manual Handling and Dangerous Goods for Transport.
Janice brings to ESL a strong background and experience in chemistry which is needed to assist
customers comply with COSHH and CHIP Regulations. Janice is responsible for the development and application of ESL’s WASPS system to the new REACH and GHS Regulations that will have a major impact on customers’ Safety Data Sheets and COSHH Assessments. |

Alan
Kalnins
BSc
Alan received his education at
University College, London University where he completed BSc
Honours in chemistry. His early career was mainly in
education where he taught at many distinguished public
schools. Alan is a senior consultant with Environmental
Science Limited where he provides guidance with respect to
safety and good practice in science laboratories and
promoting health and safety issues at work. More recently
Alan has acted as an adviser to schools and provides
expertise and personnel for the education service. His
knowledge and experience in chemistry has already
contributed greatly to the production of Safety Data Sheets
and the new WASPS services of ESL |

Roy
Simmons
BSc M.I.ERE
With a background in Electronics
Engineering, Roy "Commander" Simmons has gained
much experience in many diverse fields including Telecoms,
Television and in Semiconductor Manufacturing. As a Senior
Business and Project Management administrator, Roy has
successfully managed many large and complex projects and has
gained much experience in Health and Safety management. Roy
has been able to combine his engineering skills with SHE
requirements. This unique combination of experience has made
it possible for him to develop and implement practical and
cost effective methods in areas such as Waste Management,
Product Conformance Evaluation, Transportation of Chemical
products and Safe Working practices.

Philippa
Nobbs BA
(Hons) MCGI MIOSH MIScT
Philippa is trainer in health and
safety and laboratory skills. She has more than 30
years experience as a chemistry laboratory
technician. During that time she achieved technical
qualifications and a degree in chemistry and
technology. For many years she has organised and
contributed to training courses for laboratory technicians
working in education. In 1997, she was awarded The
Perry Medal by the Institute of Science Technology in
recognition of her services performed in the furtherance of
the aims and ideals of the Institute. She brings 30
years of experience in health and safety and laboratory
skills to Environmental Science Ltd where she will
contribute to COSHH, CHIP and training programmes for the
customers.

Bill
Scholes PG
Cert. Mgt. Dip. 2 OSH MIOSH
With 30 years experience
of numerous industries including steel, water, manufacturing
and distribution, Bill brings some very pragmatic skills to
ESL. His career path has taken him from electrical
maintenance engineering through various management roles
until most recently, several years as a senior level SHEQ
Manager for a large corporate organisation.. His experience
of balancing business needs with legislative requirements
has created a consultancy portfolio that can offer
management systems set-up and auditing, risk assessments
including DSE and Noise. In addition to bespoke training for
both the smaller firm and corporate clients, Bill runs fully accredited IOSH courses. |

Clive
Till PhD
C.Chem MRSC
Clive has worked as a research
chemist since he finished his post-doctoral studies at the
University of Nottingham. His early career was with Hoechst
(UK) and recently with Covance Laboratories Limited where he
conducted research into drug metabolism. His experience led
to the development of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)
method of carrying out risk assessments using ESL's ChemTrak
software. He was involved in the development of a generic
risk Assessment method for research Laboratories.

Clough BSc
M.I.Env.Sc
After graduating in
environmental science from the University of Hertford, David
worked for Envirotest Limited where he specialised in the
monitoring of water and air pollution. His consultancies
have been with Motorola, NEC, Fujitsu and Glaxo. David
regularly carries out sampling and monitoring of emissions
to atmosphere for COSHH and EPA compliance.
